L'Auditori de Barcelona presents (Contra) Natura (season 2024-2025), the second part of the diptych begun with Poder o revolta (season 2023-2024). This new season explores the relationship between artistic creation and nature, offering a journey from Antiquity to contemporary society. The season is divided into two streams: nature as a source of musical inspiration, with emblematic works such as Strauss' Alpina and Debussy's La mer, and the human-nature conflict, from the electronic music of Ryoji Ikeda to Brian Eno's Music for Airports.
Ludovic Morlot's third season at the helm of the OBC features Stephanie Childress as principal guest conductor. These concerts will feature outstanding artists such as the brothers Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, the pianists Lucas Debargue, Jan Lisieki and Leif Ove Andsnes, and the violinists Frank Peter Zimmermann and Daniel Hope, as well as the cellist Steven Isserlis.
